Get ready for Smart Shopping Upgrade Performance Max

When Google’s existing and future smart shopping campaigns and local campaigns are replaced by performance max campaigns, the company has provided a set of additional tools and services to assist marketers. A new relocation tool has come along with API migrations. Asa prompt,in July 2022, the existing, future smart shopping campaigns begin its automatic upgrade to performance max campaigns. Beginning in August 2022, local campaigns will receive automatic improvements.

You’ll receive a notification in your Google Ads account when your campaigns are ready to be upgraded. Performance Max campaigns build upon smart shopping campaigns with new features and insights, additional inventory, and the best of Google’s automation. On the basis of preliminary testing, advertisers upgrade the smart shopping campaigns to show that max has an average increase of 12 percent in conversion value at the same or better on ad spend.

Changes after Enhancement

Each existing Smart Shopping campaign with the status “Active” or “Paused” with an End Date in the future will become a new, separate performance max campaign with the same status. Your previous campaign settings and budget will automatically transfer to performance max with identical or comparable functionality. Your previous smart shopping campaigns will have the status “Removed”, and historical performance statistics will still be available in your ready-only smart shopping campaigns. You’ll no longer be able to create new smart shopping campaigns.

If you’d like to upgrade your smart shopping campaigns on your own, you can do so with the one-click tool in Google Ads. It’s important to know smart shopping and local campaigns to performance max. Otherwise, your smart shopping campaigns will become eligible for automatic upgrade starting in July 2022, and you do not need to take further action. Performance Max allows you to grow online, offline or cross channel sales by unlocking all of Google’s ad inventory from a single campaign with a product feed. For examples, you can transfer your video ads into your digital storefront and highlight your top products on YouTube right where valuable customers are watching relevant video content every day.By the end of September, the upgrade will be complete, allowing you to employ your Performance Max campaigns throughout the Christmas season.If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your account team or contact us at hditechnology.in.
